Chef's Road to 99 Prayer

Hello people,

Here is my guide, the road to 99 prayer.
Read this guide and it will help you to become the master of prayer!


becomming a prayer master isn't that easy, if you get the bones all by your self
each skill, so also prayer requires a total exp of 13,034,431



Bones, Experience, how many, where to get and how much each?


The fastest way:
Frost bones
They can't be bought in any shop.
You can only get them by killing the frost dragons.
To get to the frost dragons, enter the portal home in front of the prayer altar
NOTE: The dragons are very strong and you need 92 slayer to enter

Frost bones let you gain 304000 (304K) exp per bone used on the alter
That means you need 43 bones used on the altar to get 99 prayer
Street price is 1M to 1,5M
so you will spend at lowest: 43000K (43M)
and at highest: 64500K (64.5M)

But remember: there is nobody who sells frost bones, so i prefer dragon bones


Big bones let you gain 11.600 (11.6K) exp per bone used on the altar at home
That means you need to use 1124 big bones on the altar to become a prayer master

Using dragon bones, that is what i prefer, goes much and much faster
Dragon bones let you gain 70.000 (70K) exp per bone used on the altar at home
This will mean you need to use 187 bones on the altar to come a prayer master
Dragon bones cant be obtained in a store.
This will mean you have to kill a dragon for dragon bones.

I prefer killing Blue Dragons.
Easy to kill, and a nice monster to train on.
They are found at the Tavarley dungeon, you can get there by using the teleport spell
Go to your magic-book, click Monster Teleports and then click Tavarley dungeon.

You can also buy dragon bones from players.
The street price of a dragon bones is very expensive though.
It is from 200 to 500k.
So it will be at lowest: 37400K (37.4M)
And at highest: 93500K (93.5M)

The difference between big bones and dragon bones, as you can see, is amazing.
It is a total difference of 938 bones.
BUT!
Big bones can be bought in the general store at home.
Big bones cost 2000 coins (2K) each.
This will mean you need to spend 2248K (2.248M) on big bones
Dragon bones must be obtained by killing dragon at the Brimhaven dungeon, Tavarley dungeon or at the wilderness.

After you used your big bones or dragon bones you might start wondering how much exp you got.
You can calculate that counting the number of bones you got and do it times the exp, but a faster way to find that out is just refresh your client, log back in and use the toggle XP total button.
This button will show you how much exp you gained since you started the running client.
Just use this button from the start you started using bones on the altar.
otherwise keep on going till you got 99 prayer without counting and just using it on the altar.

!NOTE!
An advise is to save and store your bones at the Varrock West bank.
Just keep on getting bones and bank them there.
This will help you to keep motivated and helps getting a faster 99 prayer because you keep running to the bank and back to the altar and not using bones on the altar and going back to the dragons.

Finally, you got 99 prayer.
You can call yourself a true prayer master!
Get yourself that awesome prayer cape at the wise old man, in the fancy dress shop
Go to your emote bar and do that awesome prayer emote!

ABOUT PRAYER.

Combat
- Yes, prayer does levels up your combat.
Each 8 prayer levels will level up 1 combat level.
for instance:
You are level 3, with 1 prayer.
after getting 99 prayer you will be level 16.

You are level 113, so that means 99 attack, strength,defence, hitpoints and 1 prayer
After getting 99 prayer, you will be level 126.

2 different prayer tabs?
- Also yes, prayer does have 2 difference prayer tabs on this server.
1. The normal prayer tab
2. The ancient curses prayer tab

To get the ancient curses prayer, you need to pray at the chaos altar, next to the regular altar


The ancient curses prayer are stronger prayers as the normal prayers
They also require a higher prayer level
It mostly protect like 100% against npc (non-playing-characters) monsters, but protect like 60% against other players ingame.
The deflecting does not work either on the npc's
You can use multiple prayers at once, like always, the problem is that your prayer points reduce twice as much but thats obvious and so does it on any server.
You can't use a 2 sap- or leech curse of the same kind at once.
Sap curses lower levels of your opponent by 10% and slowly grows to 20%.
When you turn your prayer off, the 10% of your opponent directly will be given back.
The percentage that have been removed, will stay a extra bit longer at your opponent and come slowly back to your opponent, like usual.
The same counts for leech-curses.
Leech do higher your levels, but stopping prayer will reduce it again.

Using Wrath, Soul Split and Turmoil can be used one at a time.


Fighting with prayer, i want to keep my prayer points though!
- When you are fighting and using your prayer, you can keep your prayer up by using prayer potions or super restores.
I prefer super restores and you can buy them at the general store at home.
Super restores cost 300 coins each.

1 drink from a super restore potion will gain 32 prayer points.
you can drink from a super restore 4 times.
I recommend that you use it wisely when you are on low prayer points.

Note: it gains your prayer points till your max prayer level, so if you got 80 prayer, and your prayer points are at 70, it gains till 80 and not higher.
